By the 3rd quarter of the 14th Century this type of helm, which was called "pig faced" by the English or "Hounds Skull" by the Germans, had emerged as the most popular form and could be found on the battle-fields all over Europe. Our new offering is from 19 gauge steel with an antiqued finish. Approx. 26" cir. with an adjustable leather liner with chin strap.
